Meredith Stemen | Portland Pianist

Meredith's diverse career has allowed her opportunities to work with many different ensembles. In addition to her recent debut as a soloist with the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, Meredith's collaborations have included the Pensacola Choral Society, LSU Chamber Singers, Choral Arts Ensemble of Portland, Interlochen Singers and World Youth Honors Choir, UWF Summer Festival Chorus, and Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra.

 

She recently relocated to the Pacific Northwest and joined the Pacific Youth Choir's team of collaborative pianists in Portland, Oregon for the 2025-26 season. Meredith is currently accepting students for her private piano studio (lessons available in the Portland area or online) and has coaching availability upon request.

 

Meredith was a collaborative piano fellow for the Opera Theater and VocalARTS program at the Aspen Music Festival, where she worked closely with co-directors Renée Fleming and Patrick Summers. During the 2024-25 season, she was a studio artist with Pensacola Opera, where she served as music director for the company's education tour, rehearsal pianist for Pagliacci, and rehearsal pianist/continuo for Le Nozze di Figaro.

 

As an administrator she specializes in outreach and community engagement, previously managing the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra's Beyond the Stage program as the Community Engagement Administrator. Meredith recently joined the administrative staff of the Portland Youth Philharmonic and is eager to carry on the organization's legacy of excellence.
